Hard work pays off. At least, that’s what Ted Harvey, VP of Global Operations, was taught starting at age 5 when his dad, an independent contractor, would take him to construction sites. This quickly translated to the rest of his childhood where Ted played multiple sports, including football, basketball and baseball, and helped local farmers with their work during the summers. Being so busy and active taught him the value of doing work yourself, while playing sports taught him the benefits of teamwork and leadership.

Working hard, teamwork, leadership, inclusion and diversity were all values Ted had learned from his life experiences thus far. This next experience would become a big part of his life in the not-too-distant future. Ted was a Six Sigma Black Belt and worked for an industrial company where he was in charge of quality control and process improvement when he met future SpotSee CEO Tony Fonk. The two became fast friends and Tony prophetically claimed that they would work together someday. Fast-forward to 2017 and the duo are hard at work improving SpotSee from the ground up.
Ted uses his life experiences and acquired skills to improve every single process within SpotSee. From using his Six Sigma Black Belt certification to review and improve SpotSee’s processes to creating a dedicated test room that builds equipment prototypes in less than two weeks’ time instead of months of development, Ted is bringing his determined attitude and team-based style to his new role at SpotSee. It was a long and grueling drive to get here, but hard work really does pay off.
